Gardai raid Finglas property in bid to tackle to organised crime

COPS carried out a number of searches in Finglas in a bid to tackle organised crime.

Gardai from Blanchardstown and Finglas were assisted by the Armed Support Unit, The Dog Unit, The Water Unit and Revenue.

The searches were conducted on Ratoath Road in Finglas, Dublin earlier today.

Gardai said the operation was focused on organised criminal gangs.

A spokesman said: “As part of an Intelligence led Operation today the 18th June 2019, Gardaí from the Blanchardstown/Finglas Division supported by the Armed Support Unit, and assisted by The Garda Dog Unit, “The Garda Water Unit and Revenue, carried out a number of searches on the Ratoath Road area of Finglas, Dublin 11.

“Today’s Operation is focussed on targeting organised criminal gangs and the disruption of criminal gangs and their activities in the distribution of controlled drugs in the Blanchardstown / Finglas area.”
